Business Development Manager role
The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uilebheist Brewstillery is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase sales, market share, and profitability. This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, and the capacity to build relationships with clients. The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for researching industry trends and staying up to date on competitive products and services.
This role will report directly to the owner of the business.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profits.
Manage customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
Analyse market trends and customer needs.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalise on them.
Develop relationships with potential partners and clients.
Negotiate contracts with customers and suppliers.
Manage the sales and marketing team to ensure that targets are met.
Create presentations to potential customers.
Feedback directly to the owner on strategies, pick up and forecasting for the year ahead.
Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone.
Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes.
Ensure staff are on board throughout the organisation and understand the need for change and what is required of them.
Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world
