Nestled on the banks of the River Ness, Uile-bheist (Scottish Gaelic for ‘monster’ pronounced Ewl-uh-Vesht).
Represents our founder’s lifelong ambition of producing the best artisan whisky and beer in the heart of Inverness, Scotland. Being the first Distillery to grace Inverness in over a century, the Uile-bheist dream was built on the desire to blend traditional techniques with innovative methods. Our sustainability efforts set us apart as we strive to reduce our carbon footprint, all while protecting the beautiful environment we call home.

We will share with you our innovative approach to combatting the climate crisis, highlighting how we utilise energy from the River Ness to power our Distillery. With tours ranging from an entry-level introduction to an expert-led master maker tours, there is something for everyone here at Uilebheist.
Our Distillery
The first new distillery to be built in Inverness for 130 years, Uile-bheist is an independent, modern distillery using some of the most advanced stills in Scotland, engineered by world-renowned coppersmiths Kaspar Schulz.
Our whisky production methods are innovative, while maintaining principles of Single Malt Scotch Whisky production which remain unchanged for hundreds of years in the Highlands of Scotland.
